Is an AI examiner actually realistic?
It runs the real format — timed, information released only when you ask, scored across the four oral domains. And it only speaks physician-written case content.
Won't the AI just make things up?
No. It can only release scripted, physician-authored findings — if it isn't in the case, the examiner won't invent it.
I freeze saying answers out loud — will this help?
That's exactly what this fixes. Unlimited spoken reps build the fluency that stops the freeze on exam day.
Why practice orals if I'm already grinding SAMPs?
Certification needs both halves — and the orals are the half you couldn't rehearse alone until now.
Why are oral sessions metered?
Live AI examiner sessions are costly to run. Every plan includes 5 voice and 5 chat sessions each month. Need more? Buy extra sessions and use each as voice or chat — whichever you prefer.

Clinical Vignette: A 38yo F presents to the emergency department with palpitations that started 2 hours ago. She feels central chest discomfort and lightheaded. She does not have any known past medical history and does not take any regular medications. Initial ECG shows a regular narrow QRS complex tachycardia. Heart rate is 180.
Question: What initial blood tests do you order for this patient? List 3.
Your Answers:
- 1. CBC
- 2. Hemoglobin level
- 3. ESR
✅ Accepted Answers:
- Complete blood count - Screens for anemia or infection that may precipitate tachyarrhythmia.
- Serum electrolytes and renal function panel - Detects potassium or creatinine abnormalities that influence rhythm and drug dosing.
- Thyroid function tests - Hyperthyroidism is a reversible precipitant of tachyarrhythmias.
- Cardiac troponin - Excludes demand ischemia/ACS in patient with chest discomfort and tachycardia.
- Serum calcium - Calcium imbalance can facilitate arrhythmogenesis, so often added to initial panel.
- Serum magnesium - Hypomagnesaemia predisposes to supraventricular and ventricular tachyarrhythmias.
⚠️ Part Marks Answers:
- Hemoglobin level alone - Partial component of CBC; omits WBC/platelets therefore incomplete.
- TSH only - Provides partial assessment; free T4 needed if TSH abnormal or borderline.
❌ Incorrect/Distractors:
- Erythrocyte sedimentation rate - Inflammatory marker; not routinely indicated in acute palpitations work-up.
- Liver function tests - May be needed later for drug dosing but not first-line in isolated SVT.

What Our Users Say
Real feedback from physicians who prepared with EMExams for the CCFP-EM exam
"I used EMExams primarily to study for the written and found it great. I think it's a fairly reasonable reflection of the written, but the content is obviously a bit different. If anything EM exams was harder than the real exam."
